I have started to receive weekly adjustments from Dr. Kennedy around half way through my pregnancy. Though I had only gained a few pounds at that point, my lower back started to hurt a little. I wanted to prevent a lot of problmes I read about women facing with their growing weight, so I also decided to exercise regularly. I began taking prenatal yoga and swam once a week. At the same time, I kept weekly chiropractic adjustments and once in a while prenatal massage.
All was going quite well, though every month a new ache or pain appeared in a different part of my body. It all seemed manageable and only caused slight discomfort, not major pain. That is until my 8th month, when I experienced constant radiationg mid back pain, especially after long hours sitting at a computer. Being only 5 feet tall and having a pre pregnancy weight of only 115lbs, I was reaching 148lbs and still had one month left. I knew this much weight gain eventually would cause pain, but I was definitely in for a surprise!
One day I woke up with agonizing pain in my right chest around the rib area. I could hardly breath or do basic movements without "squeaking" in pain. Lucky for me, that day I had an appointment with Dr. Kennedy. She adjusted me right away and then I recieved an hour specialized prenatal massage. After I loosened up, Dr. Kennedy adjusted me again and in an instant I was 80% better. The next day I woke up a new person. I still had minor discomfort, but it was bearable.
I am planning to continue getting weekly adjustments until I deliever my baby. I feel very fortunate to be in the care of Dr. Kennedy. I never took painkillers, even pre-pregnancy, and I always preferred the natural approach to pain management. I love knowing that whenever I walk into Dr. Kennedy's office and I am hurting, she will take care of me and I will recieve instant pain relief. I would highly recommend every pregnant women have a chiropractic physician "on her team".

Being in a car accident is a traumatic and scary experience for anyone. I was t-boned by another car and very frightened. Dr. Kennedy’s calm, competent demeanor and expertise skillfully walked me through the process while maintaining an intense, healing treatment program for my injuries. X-rays and C-Scans showed new and old injuries to the neck area and lower-back. Doctors were rushing me to make a decision to have surgery and place a titanium plate in the neck area. During the same time, I continued to see Dr. Kennedy and stay with her recommended treatment plan. I decided not to have any surgery until I was finished with the plan Dr. Kennedy recommended. Two years later I feel strong and vibrant and did not have surgery. I am on a maintenance care plan and am very thankful that I do not have a titanium plate in my neck.
Thank you Dr. Kennedy for your skill, expertise and persistent care; I am so appreciative
that I was able to be treated by you during a very difficult time in my life.

The year 1992, the cause of injury, simply turning and walking. I wish there was a more exciting story to be told, but, this one movement was the beginning of years of back pain. 3 months of intense therapy immediately after the injury eased my pain considerably. However, for 7 years, my back pain prevented me from standing or sitting for any length of time. Through the years, my back has gotten stronger, but I don't know that it will ever feel like it did before that day in 1992. Over the past 15 years, 5 chiropractors in 2 states have tended to my back problem. 2 years ago, I had the good fortune of visiting Dr. Kennedy and I'm glad I did! She respected me for knowing my own body (which can't be said of all doctors), she was thorough in her examination and her treatment has resulted in remarkable improvement. The exercise and treatment program that she designed for me has me feeling better than ever. Dr. Kennedy is professional, knowledgeable and attends continuing education courses in order to provide the best chiropractic care possible. In addition to her fine care, I respect Dr. Kennedy as an active member of our community as she offers special programs for new and existing clients that benefit various organizations throughout Sarasota County. For thorough and gentle chiropractic care, I highly recommend Dr. Kennedy.

My 10-year old son and I were in an auto accident in December. My son was having neck and back pain. Dr. Kennedy was recommended by my mother who was treated by Dr. Kennedy a few years ago as well. We both have been a patient of hers for about six months now. My son’s pan has improved tremendously. Due to his pain he was having trouble sleeping throughout the night, and now that has totally subsided. We both enjoy her chiropractic care. Dr. Kennedy and her staff have been wonderful. I would highly recommend her.

Since 1980, I had suffered from neck pain that radiated down my left arm resulting in numbness in my hand in addition to the burning and aching pain. A 1983 auto accident made this worse and I lived with the growing pain and numbness until 1997. Dr. Kennedy quickly diagnosed the problem and applied numerous therapies. Within two months, I was pain free! Dr. Kennedy and her staff were competent and professional, and more importantly, effective. I only wish that I had not waited for seventeen years, suffering needlessly the whole time.
