I have started to receive weekly adjustments from Dr. Kennedy around half way through my pregnancy. Though I had only gained a few pounds at that point, my lower back started to hurt a little. I wanted to prevent a lot of problmes I read about women facing with their growing weight, so I also decided to exercise regularly. I began taking prenatal yoga and swam once a week. At the same time, I kept weekly chiropractic adjustments and once in a while prenatal massage.
All was going quite well, though every month a new ache or pain appeared in a different part of my body. It all seemed manageable and only caused slight discomfort, not major pain. That is until my 8th month, when I experienced constant radiationg mid back pain, especially after long hours sitting at a computer. Being only 5 feet tall and having a pre pregnancy weight of only 115lbs, I was reaching 148lbs and still had one month left. I knew this much weight gain eventually would cause pain, but I was definitely in for a surprise!
One day I woke up with agonizing pain in my right chest around the rib area. I could hardly breath or do basic movements without "squeaking" in pain. Lucky for me, that day I had an appointment with Dr. Kennedy. She adjusted me right away and then I recieved an hour specialized prenatal massage. After I loosened up, Dr. Kennedy adjusted me again and in an instant I was 80% better. The next day I woke up a new person. I still had minor discomfort, but it was bearable.
I am planning to continue getting weekly adjustments until I deliever my baby. I feel very fortunate to be in the care of Dr. Kennedy. I never took painkillers, even pre-pregnancy, and I always preferred the natural approach to pain management. I love knowing that whenever I walk into Dr. Kennedy's office and I am hurting, she will take care of me and I will recieve instant pain relief. I would highly recommend every pregnant women have a chiropractic physician "on her team".

Being in a car accident is a traumatic and scary experience for anyone. I was t-boned by another car and very frightened. Dr. Kennedy’s calm, competent demeanor and expertise skillfully walked me through the process while maintaining an intense, healing treatment program for my injuries. X-rays and C-Scans showed new and old injuries to the neck area and lower-back. Doctors were rushing me to make a decision to have surgery and place a titanium plate in the neck area. During the same time, I continued to see Dr. Kennedy and stay with her recommended treatment plan. I decided not to have any surgery until I was finished with the plan Dr. Kennedy recommended. Two years later I feel strong and vibrant and did not have surgery. I am on a maintenance care plan and am very thankful that I do not have a titanium plate in my neck.
Thank you Dr. Kennedy for your skill, expertise and persistent care; I am so appreciative
that I was able to be treated by you during a very difficult time in my life.
